Day 5: Resisting the Enemy's Pictures
Reading: Genesis 3:1-7; James 4:7

Devotional: Eve walked past the forbidden tree countless times without temptation—until the enemy engaged her in conversation and repainted the picture. Suddenly, what she never desired became irresistible. The enemy didn't change the tree; he changed how she saw it. He shifted her focus from God's provision to her perceived lack, from eternal satisfaction to temporal pleasure. This same strategy works today. The enemy paints pictures that appeal to your natural senses—what looks good, feels good, tastes good—before you've consulted your spiritual senses. The result? Broken rhythms, foolish yokings, and stolen destinies. But you have power: resist the devil, and he will flee. Don't entertain conversations that reshape God's truth. Don't linger where pictures contrary to His will are being painted. Walk away. Say no. Remain in prayer and fasting—the denial of self and the pursuit of God—and watch the enemy's illusions lose their power.
