Day 1: The Pattern of Divine Rest
Reading: Exodus 20:8-11; Genesis 2:1-3

Devotional: God didn't need to rest after creation—He established a pattern for us to follow. The Sabbath isn't about God's exhaustion but about our invitation into His rhythm of grace. When God rested on the seventh day, He was modeling sacred trust for humanity. We live in a culture that equates busyness with importance and productivity with worth, but God calls us to something countercultural: intentional rest. This isn't laziness; it's warfare against the anxiety that drives us to prove our value through endless striving. The Sabbath declares that God is provider, not us. Today, ask yourself: Am I working to rest, or am I learning to work from rest? True
