Day 3: Pride—The Kingdom's Greatest Adversary
Reading: Proverbs 16:5, 18-19; James 4:6-10
Devotional: Satan was never God's greatest opponent—pride is. The enemy has no power except what humanity grants through self-centered living. When we function in pride—living by our opinions, preserving our reputation, pursuing our will—we become adversaries to God's kingdom, even while confessing Christ. The most strategic work of the Holy Spirit is dismantling our pride systems through continual repentance and renewal. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. This means our spiritual breakthrough isn't found in rebuking demons but in surrendering self. Today, identify one area where you're holding onto your own way. Confess it. Release it. Humble yourself before God, and watch Him lift you up in His perfect timing.
