Day 5: Responding to Godly Correction
Reading: Proverbs 12:1; 15:31-33; Hebrews 12:5-11
Devotional: Offense at correction is evidence of who truly rules your life. When the Holy Spirit reveals character flaws, or when spiritual leaders speak truth into your blind spots, your response reveals your heart's posture. Do you defend yourself, or do you receive it? The Bible is clear: whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. Godly correction isn't rejection—it's protection and preparation. God disciplines those He loves to make us partakers of His holiness. If you will judge yourself, you won't have to be judged. If you will humble yourself, you won't have to be humbled. Today, ask God to make you teachable. Welcome His correction through Scripture, through His Spirit, and through trusted voices He's placed in your life. Let humility be your pathway to exaltation.
