Day 5: Walking in New Government
Reading: Ephesians 5:8-17; Romans 12:1-2

Devotional: Elisha went from being master of his own field to servant in God's rhythm—from independence to interdependence, from self-governance to divine government. The number twelve represents both earthly time and God's governmental order. The shift from being yoked to twelve oxen (earth's rhythm) to walking as the twelfth with Elijah (God's government) is the shift from time controlling you to seasons guiding you. When you walk circumspectly, redeeming the time, you're no longer a slave to the calendar but sensitive to spiritual seasons. This requires wisdom to discern what is acceptable to the Lord, exposing the unfruitful works you've partnered with. Today, ask God to awaken you to His rhythm. What does He find acceptable that you've been avoiding? What spiritual season are you in that your schedule doesn't reflect? Surrender your time management to His seasonal government, and watch your days align with divine purpose rather than cultural pressure.
