Day 4: Positional and Progressive Holiness
Reading: 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Philippians 2:12-13
Devotional: You were washed. You were sanctified. You were justified. These are completed realities for every believer in Christ. Positionally, God sees you through the lens of Jesus—holy, blameless, and seated in heavenly places. But sanctification is also progressive. God is continually working in you "both to will and to do for His good pleasure." This isn't passive. While you cannot sanctify yourself, you're called to active trust and obedience—working out what God has worked in. Offer yourself daily to righteousness as you once offered yourself to sin. Put off the old patterns and put on the new nature. Participate in God's transforming work through repentance, prayer, and alignment with His Word. You're not who you used to be, and you're not yet who you will be. Walk in the reality of your new identity today.
