Day 3: Walking With Jesus
Reading: Mark 2:23-3:6; Matthew 6:25-34

Devotional: Jesus walked through grain fields on the Sabbath while religious people gathered in temples, missing Him entirely. The Sabbath was made for humanity to encounter God's presence, not to check religious boxes. When we prioritize practice over presence, we can be in all the right places yet completely miss Jesus. He healed on the Sabbath because rest and restoration are connected—true Sabbath brings wholeness. Notice that Jesus didn't run; He walked. His pace was intentional, creating space for divine interruptions and meaningful connection. Our hurried lives leave no room for the miraculous. We can prepare sermons while Jesus sits on our porch. We can attend church while missing His voice. Today, ask: Am I seeking God's presence or just maintaining religious rhythm? Slow down enough to walk with Him.
