Day 3: Recognizing Violence Against the Kingdom
Reading: Matthew 11:12-15; Genesis 3:1-6

Devotional: The kingdom suffers violence, but not the kind we expect. Satan didn't enter Eden with weapons—he came with conversation and invitation. Today's violent attacks come disguised as good opportunities, self-improvement programs, and reasonable commitments. They look like fruit that's pleasing to the eye and good for food. We measure attacks by tears and trauma, missing the subtle warfare happening in our schedules, relationships, and thought patterns. John the Baptist was a herald announcing the King's arrival, calling people to prepare. Yet many missed the kingdom's presence entirely because they were too busy playing flutes in the marketplace, seeking approval from companions rather than alignment with the King. The violence you must respond with isn't louder prayer—it's violence against your own willingness to say yes to everything except God's rhythm.
