Day 3: The Response of Urgency
Reading: Luke 9:57-62; Mark 1:16-20

Devotional: Elisha's response was immediate—he left the oxen and ran to Elijah. There was no deliberation, no committee meeting, no "let me think about it." When Jesus called the disciples, they immediately left their nets. Urgency marks those who recognize divine invitation. Too often, we spiritualize delay, saying "let me pray about it" when God has already made His will clear. The opportunity of a lifetime is only available in the lifetime of the opportunity. Doors that stand open today may be shut tomorrow. What invitation from God have you been delaying? What has He already made clear that you've been avoiding through religious-sounding excuses? The rhythm of God's kingdom doesn't wait for our convenience. It requires immediate, intentional response. Today, identify one area where God has been inviting you forward, and take one concrete step of obedient action—not tomorrow, but today.
