Day 5: The Law of Love
Reading: Matthew 22:34-40; Micah 6:6-8
Devotional: Jesus simplified all the commandments into two: Love God with everything you are, and love your neighbor as yourself. This is the structure by which the kingdom is administered. It protects divine alignment: God to you, God with you, God through you. You must receive His government, be changed by it, then govern with it. The danger is trying to change others without first being changed yourself—trying to rule externally what hasn't transformed you internally. The Ten Commandments weren't the end goal; they created alignment so God's Spirit could flow. Today, we don't need more religious activity; we need genuine transformation. Do justly—live in righteousness with God. Love mercy—extend kindness and forgiveness to others. Walk humbly—surrender your will to His. This is what the Lord requires. As you close this week, commit to letting God's government reshape you from the inside out. Only then can His kingdom come through you.
