Day 5: Emptying the Water Pots
Reading: John 2:1-11; Ephesians 3:20

Devotional: At Cana, Jesus commanded servants to fill water pots—but first they had to empty them. These pots held dirty water from religious ritual, representing how even good practices can become stale rhythm. Before God pours in the new wine, He requires us to pour out what we've been holding. The master of the feast declared the best wine came last—God is doing something in these latter days that former days cannot match, but it's predicated on emptying out. Will you change your rhythm? Will you give Him access to your pace? He wants to do "exceedingly abundantly above all you ask, think, or imagine," but that unlimited capacity of heaven cannot flow through hands clutching the world. Today, what water pots is Jesus asking you to empty? What religious routine, cultural demand, or self-sufficient strategy must you pour out to receive His best wine?
