Day 2: When the Land Cannot Support You
Reading: Genesis 13:5-13

Devotional: Lot lifted his eyes and evaluated the land—it looked like the garden of God. Green pastures, flowing rivers, abundant opportunity. But beneath the surface was Sodom's wickedness. We live in a culture that constantly presents us with options that look like blessing but lead to bondage. The enemy whispers, "Give me your soul, keep the stuff." Lot chose based on sight; Abram chose based on surrender. What are you pursuing that looks good to your natural eyes but you haven't consulted God about? The land of progress cannot sustain what only God's presence can provide. Are you measuring opportunities by how they appear or by where God's presence leads? True rest comes not from securing the best land, but from following the right Lord.
