Day 4: Preparing the Upper Room
Reading: Mark 14:12-16; John 14:1-3

Devotional: Before the Last Supper, Jesus sent His disciples to find a man who had prepared an upper room "made ready." This wasn't coincidental—the Holy Spirit had prompted preparation for an expected guest. The new covenant, the promise of the Holy Spirit, and the establishment of communion all happened because someone made their upper room available. God is looking for prepared people, not perfect people. Preparation means clearing space, creating margin, and cultivating expectation. It means saying "yes" before you know the full plan. Like that unnamed host in Jerusalem, your prepared upper room might become the birthplace of something that transforms not just your life, but your family, church, and community. God births His greatest works in prepared places.

Reflection: What practical steps can you take this week to "prepare the upper room" of your heart?
