Day 5: Going Another Way
Reading: Matthew 2:12; 2 Corinthians 5:17
Devotional: After encountering the King, the wise men couldn't return the way they came. Divine warning redirected their path because kingdom encounters demand lifestyle transformation. You cannot experience Christ's government and continue operating under Herod's instructions. The enemy wants you convinced that you can worship God while still functioning according to worldly systems, fleshly patterns, and self-centered agendas. But genuine kingdom living requires "another way." This isn't about behavior modification but governmental transformation—allowing Christ's rule to restructure how you think, relate, work, and live. The Herod within—selfishness, pride, fear-based reactions—must be dethroned. As you enter a new season, refuse to carry old wine into new wineskins. Exhaust everything from yesterday and embrace the new government God is establishing in and through you.
