Day 4: Exceeding Great Joy
Reading: Psalm 16:11; Nehemiah 8:10; Philippians 4:4

"When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy." The Magi's journey wasn't marked by drudgery but by anticipation and delight. Joy isn't circumstantial happiness—it's the deep confidence that God's presence makes all the difference. The joy of the Lord is your strength, not your weakness. In our routine-driven faith, we can lose the wonder of what God has done. We forget to rejoice that Christ dwells in us—"the mystery hidden for ages, Christ in you, the hope of glory." Redeem the practice of enjoying God's presence. Don't just endure your spiritual disciplines; delight in them. When you wake tomorrow, choose joy over obligation. Let exceeding gladness mark your pursuit of Jesus. The same King the Magi worshiped with joy is alive, present, and accessible to you today.
