Becoming Agents of God's Compassion
Reading: Matthew 9:35-38, Matthew 10:1-8
Devotional: Jesus was moved with compassion when He saw the crowds, and He empowered His disciples to meet the needs around them. Today's church is called to the same mission. We are meant to be conduits of God's compassion in a hurting world. Reflect on the "crowds" in your life - your workplace, neighborhood, or social circles. Where do you see need? How can you be an agent of God's compassion there? Ask God to break your heart for what breaks His and to empower you with His love and authority. Remember, you may be the answer to someone's prayer today. Step out in faith, trusting that God will provide what you need to be His hands and feet in the world.
