Pondering Before Proclaiming

Mary received a world-changing prophecy, yet she didn't immediately broadcast it. She pondered these things in her heart. In our age of instant communication, we've lost the sacred art of pondering—of letting God's word take root privately before we declare it publicly. The most powerful movements of God begin in the hidden place of personal transformation. Before Mary could birth the Savior to the world, she had to wrestle with what it meant for her own life. What has God spoken to you that you've rushed to share without first allowing it to change you? Slow down. Sit with God's promises. Let them confront your own governance, your own ways of thinking. The seed of God's word needs time in the soil of your heart before it can bear fruit that feeds others.
